Do you have a song that takes you back to the exact time and space you were in when you first heard it? Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody does it to me. It immediately takes me back to 1975 riding in my moms yellow Dautsun B 2-10 with the windows down singing at the top of my lungs with my sisters. I love the music from the 70's. At the time I had no idea what lyrics I was singing but I loved the melodies. Afternoon Delight, Chevy Van, Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia, The Night Chicago Died, Run Joey Run, Blinded by the Light... I could go on and on. To this day, I still probably don't know what the song is about, but I love singing along! Here is a funny video to Blinded By the Light... it graphically tells you about the song. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-244997561798974235&q=blinded+by+the+light&hl=en Do you have a song that takes you back to a certain place and time?

Black Water by the Doobie Brothers always does this for me. It takes me back to the days of my Dad's second wife. She used to drive my Dad's Firebird down this country road that was super hilly with the t-tops out. She would drive just fast enough to "tickle" my belly when we went over the hills and Black Water was always playing when she did this. I ended up living right off that road during my marriage and every day I drove down it I thought of her, that song and those days.
